From final film widths of 100 mm to 2100 mm and film thicknesses between 150 and 2000 µm – everything is possible.  The cooling rolls and the haul-off are driven by highly dynamic synchronizing servo-drive motors in AC technique.  The motors are exactly tuned to the mass reactance and synchronized with each other.  If desired different designs and injection heights can be supplied.  The standard injection height is 1100 mm with rolls in vertical position.

Roll Tempering

Separate, independent tempering of each roll is provided.  Constant control of the preliminary temperature is by means of a new tempering system with a coolant quantity control that is steplessly matched to the heat requirement.  Together with the cooling rolls in double-jacket design with degressive conducting coils for efficient and constant heat transfer a temperature distribution accuracy of +/- 1°C is achieved at the contact surface of the film.

The principle of roll deflection compensation reduces the film thickness tolerances to a minimum.

With regard to the quality of the film the cooling rolls are very important.  The roll surfaces are hardened and plated with a 120 µm chromium layer, ground and super finished with high concentric and cylindrical accuracy,
Rmax = 0,1 – 0,2 µm.
On request also other surface qualities and layers – such as Nickel, etc. are available.
